      Sim swap fraud is a new kind of fraud, running around the digital world. Most of the people are falling prey to this fraudulent, especially senior citizens. Recently a victim had lost Rs 13lakhs by a group of frauds.

What is Sim swap fraud?

      Swap means exchange.
      Sim card has some crucial information about the subscriber. At first the frauds will hack all details by phishing/ Trojans. Then they will approach a new Sim card to the service provider.

     With the help of new Sim card they can access all the database and thereby they will online transactions from the victim's account.

How does a Sim swap work?

      Through phishing frauds will hack the banking details.

      The frauds will approach service provider for a new Sim card.

      Post customer verification by the service provider will deactivate the old Sim. So there will be no network on customer's handset. So automatically they will not receive any sms alerts.

     Then the frauds will access and operate the victim's account by the stolen details.

Safety tips:

      Be aware of your cellphone's connectivity status such as Sms notification, calls etc.,

     Register for alerts ( SMS and Email) so that when there is any activity on your bank account you can get an alert mail.

      Always check your bank statements and  online banking transaction history regularly to help identify and issues (or) irregularities.

     As we all know,  in the year 2013, the online Oxford dictionaries added a new trendy word selfie, which means taking self portrait photography of oneself. By holding smartphone we can easily have a click of ourselves. Surprisingly this phenomenon was quite common among the early days of photography investigation and research.

     The first ever selfie was taken by an amateur chemist and photographer ROBERT CORNELIUS in the year 1839. Setting up his camera at the back of the family store,  Cornelius took the image by removing the lens cap and then running into frame where he sat  at least for 15 minutes before covering up the lens again and most amazing fact is, that was the 'first selfie picture' ever taken.

                As we know the word selfie was added into the online oxford dictionary in the year 2013, so it must be a new word and might have found after the invention of smart phones. If you have an idea like this, then you are wrong.

                Because the first selfie was taken in the year 1839 and pioneer of selfie was Robert Cornelius, an American photographer. The time required to take the first self-portrait was around 10 to 15 minutes. Nowadays within a sec we can take a selfie image.

Do the test tube embryos save the rhino???

Will test tube embryos save the rhinos??? 

       Sudan, the world's last male northern white rhino died a month ago. And only two female rhinos are alive today. The sad truth is both are infertile. 

       After the continuous effect scientists have grown embryos containing DNA of those kind, hoping to save the subspecies from the extinction. 

      They also expecting this novel techniques can re-establish this kind of rhinos into viable breeding population. They are hoping  within three years calf of white northern rhinos will born.

     Let us hope for the best!!!
